Musing Mondays

Question*:

I always like to have a book with me at all times – call it a nerdy grown-up security blanket – and rarely do I leave the house without slipping one into my bag (even if I KNOW I’m not going to have a chance to read it). Do you take a book with you? Do you take whatever book you’re currently reading, or do you have a special on-the-go book? And do you have a preference for a these types of book (paperback, hardback; short stories; poetry etc)?

Absolutely! I tend to take the book I'm currently reading. This is a habit with me now, I think because even though it seldom happens that I get the opportunity to read the book I've tossed into the back seat of the car, I don't want to be caught in the circumstance of I-wish-I-had-my-book-with-me. You just never know!

I hate that "I-wish-I-had-my-book-with-me" feeling. And as a 'reader' you feel even sillier, cause you just should have known it would happen.

We've all learned that lesson the hard way -- now I'm pretty much always prepared.
