Quotable - if you're not outraged

"...if I actually spent my days actively paying attention to every example of misogyny around me, I would be a profoundly unhappy woman. Like, not just bitchy or grumpy, but paralyzingly depressed. I would guess that most women, even feminists, probably have to go out of their way to avoid consciously reacting to every bit of misogyny, or they would go quite insane."

Hi Cali - just for ha's we should do a post and ask for contributions of examples. Melissa is right, I know it would depress the hell out of most of us but I. AM. SO. SICK. OF. IT! It's everywhere - and if it isn't out in the open, it's surely inferred as in that timbuk2 ad. MAKES ME CRAZY (especially trying to raise 2 girls ages 13 & 16)

JC - I know I would get depressed as it doesn't take much. But maybe your idea would be helpful in some big picture way. I'm still recovering from seeing "Knocked Up" while in Austin. At least we left before the birth scene.

oh now, don't tell me....

I've been dying to see that movie -- heard it was great.

Shall I save my money?

Save your money. Also you will avoid the feeling that we are already living in an "idiocracy." Well, maybe.
