In the same week, I read Zeitoun by Dave Eggers, I also watched this award-winning documentary Trouble the Water:
Both the book and the film tell the first person stories of people who survived a deadly storm only to discover the aftermath would be even more devastating. Their stories make it painfully clear how much ground we have lost as citizens under the Bush/Cheney administration.

I'll have to come back in a bit to vw this. I don't think I could give it proper attention with my lack of sleep rt now. Just wanted to wish you a great trip to Boston this week!
Hey, thanks Care! We're getting pretty excited.
Thinking I'll read "The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo" on the plane.
I really want to read that Dave Eggers book ... I heard it was pretty darn awesome. And it seems like there is a growing group of Hurricane Katrina books out there.
I don't get what storm, aftermath, devastation, destruction, terror, blood letting, and reptilian have to do with Bush/Cheney.
I'm putting this on my que. It can't get any better than people filming their own experience in the 9th Ward.
