Tuesday Teasers

Grab your current read.

Let the book fall open to a random page.

Share two “teaser” sentences from that page, somewhere between lines 7 and 12.

Give the title of the book and the page you’re getting your “teaser” from... that way people can pick up some great book recommendations.

~avoid spoilers~

Here we go:
He had thought Bonnie might have a bad empty-nest time of it, that he'd have to watch out for her. He knew, everyone knew, of at least one family these days where the kids grew up and the wife just took off lickety-split.

Olive Kitteridge by Elizabeth Strout pg. 81

What are you reading?

Holy cow - I didn't know this was an epidemic - although I could see how tempting it would be!

Thanks for the teaser - isn't it interesting how people can change as their responsibilities change?

I really enjoyed Olive Kitteridge too. It was one of the few novel choices on the year's "best" lists that I agreed with. Thanks for bringing it to the attention of more readers!
