Tuesday Teasers

Grab your current read.

Let the book fall open to a random page.

Share two “teaser” sentences from that page, somewhere between lines 7 and 12.

Give the title of the book and the page you’re getting your “teaser” from... that way people can pick up some great book recommendations.

~avoid spoilers~

Here we go:

"Fanny owned one dress (owned by ten before her), which she dredged through the suds every night after church, dozing off on her feet, then threw over the line in the yard when prodded, and dragged from the line every morning in the dark. Her feet hardened like leather shoes, and she watched every dawn from her knees in the cotton rows."

Praying For Sheetrock by Melissa Fay Greene p. 105

Please leave a comment with either the link to your own Teaser Tuesdays post, or share your 2 ‘teaser’ sentences in a comment here (if you don’t have a blog). Thanks!

I was expecting a novel, not what I read about when I clicked on the link in your sidebar. Sounds interesting!

It's a well written book but I've become a bit stalled reading it. Hope to get my motivation and momentum back tomorrow. As in tomorrow's a new day...

Thanks for stopping by Wendi and SD.

Wow that is a very vivid description. Doesn't sound like anything I would want to do anytime soon! Thanks for the teaser.
